Located in the heart of British Columbia, Sun Peaks Resort is less than an hour by air from Vancouver International Airport. Its village is surrounded by three mountains making it extremely easy to sample a huge variety of terrain and then drop into the village that’s filled with shops, cafes and restaurants.

After a day spent on the slopes, get the whole family involved in a thrilling dog sled adventure, snowshoe and s’mores tour or explore the village sights on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. Snow adventures abound with weekly activities to keep the younger children entertained. When it’s time to relax and unwind, enjoy family treats at the charming restaurants or take in the views while enjoying a relaxing hot tub.

Ice Hockey Games
One not to be missed! – A fun filled evening at a Kamloops Blazers WHL hockey game. Book a private charter and arrive at the arena with enough time to dine at one of the many downtown Kamloops restaurants.
Cat Trax Groomer Rides
Ever wonder how fresh snow becomes the groomed corduroy on your favourite ski run? This is your chance to witness first hand by joining one of our groomers as they work their magic. 45 minute tours are available nightly.
Into the Wild Dog Sled
Head out on your exhilarating dog sled adventure. All sleds are guided but guests may be given the option to drive the sled.
Alpine Fondue and Starlight Descent
Board the Sunburst Express chairlift for an exclusive twilight ride up to the Sunburst Bar and Eatery mid-mountain restaurant. After a three-course Swiss style fondue, you’ll descend back to the village on the freshly groomed 5 Mile run with the help of a head torch and a guide.
First Tracks Breakfast
Get out on the mountain while the rest of the resort is still waking up. Take advantage of exclusive use of the Crystal chairlift and surrounding terrain before other guests including breakfast and an après voucher.
Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides
Sit back under the covers take in the sights and sounds of the village and surrounding area for a daylight, sunset or evening tour. Wind through the village at a leisurely pace and listen to the clatter of hooves and ringing of sleigh bells before moving out more briskly into the open for views of the valley, mountains, and Sun Peaks’ many activities and amenities before our return via a gentle ski run.
Snowmobile Tours
Snowmobile tours head into the Sun Peaks backcountry where guests ride on a variety of trails, wide open frozen lakes, and clear meadows. Along the way guests will see the gorgeous views of the Thompson Nicola region. Evening tours include a campfire wiener roast at McGillivray Lake cabin.
Snowshoe Tours
Join an afternoon or evening snowshoe tour, or create your own adventure when renting snowshoes and explore the 12kms of trails.
Guided Ice Fishing Tours
Join your local guide for a uniquely Canadian experience on one of the many mountain lakes surrounding Sun Peaks and try your hand at catching a few of the hard-fighting and great tasting wild Rainbow Trout. Everything from pick up to drop off is provided including door to door transportation to and from the lake, a heated ice fishing tent, a hot beverage and all the fishing gear you need. But the most valuable part is the knowledge of an experienced guide, making it easy for anyone to learn as they go with absolutely no experience required.

Getting There
Getting to Sun Peaks Resort
Sun Peaks can be accessed through Kamloops Airport located only 59.9km away with a direct shuttle to the resort.
Daily direct flights are available to Kamloops from Vancouver and Calgary.
